Where to start?

First thing's first, you can import data from a spreadsheet file. That's right! If you have an existing contacts Excel worksheet, you can upload it to your Penny account and start prospecting right away!

How to upload a Spreadsheet file

1 - Go to the "Contacts" section, then click the "Import Spreadsheet" button located at the bottom left of your screen.

2 - Drag and drop your contacts file into the box or click the box to select your file, then click "Upload".

🔥 Hot Tip 🔥 The spreadsheet column headers must match the same as our sample spreadsheet. A sample spreadsheet can be downloaded by clicking on "Sample Spreadsheet"

3 - A list of your contacts will generate. Confirm your contacts by clicking "Import".

🔥 Hot Tip 🔥 You can now include a column for importing any notes for a particular contact which will be added to the user’s contacts profile note section.

4 - IMPORTANT: If there are errors in your file, Penny can not upload it.

Seeing Errors? A few things to keep in mind...

  • Be certain to have a "First Name" as it is a required field

  • "First Name" and "Last Name" need to be in separate columns

  • The email is invalid? Don't forget the @(ampersand)

  • The phone number is invalid? Remember to use -(dashes)
