Penny loves being organized, and wants to make being organized easy for you! Tags are used to filter your contacts based on category, products they purchased, their tasks, their social media label, or anything else you deem important for your clientele.

This article will show you what tags Penny creates for your contacts and how you can create your own.

1. Product Tags

Product tags are products that your customers have purchased in the past. This way, when you type in a product in the search menu, you will see a list of contacts who have purchased said product.

See below for examples of where you can find product tags 👇

2. Sample Tags

Sample tags are used most often when doing Reachouts. The "Sent a Sample" function can be found on a contact's profile, it's as easy as clicking on it. Then, when completing the task you can add notes on what sample you sent.

The Sample Tag is then searchable in your contacts via the heading "Given Sample".

3. Custom Tags

You can make your own custom filter tags to help identify your contacts better. For example, you can create a "New Mom" tag to cater to your clientele who just welcomed a new bundle of joy into the world! 🍼 👶🏽 Can you say, Reachouts right before Mother's Day, anyone?

How to create a custom tag

1 - In the Contacts tab, search for a contact's profile

2 - Select the name of the contact from the results to open the contact's profile

3 - Select the "Tag" tab

4 - Add your tag by typing in the name of an existing tag or making a new tag

5 - Press enter to save it

🔥 Hot Tip 🔥 In the search bar, you can type in more than 1 filter tag at a time to narrow down your search. 🤓

🔥 Hot Tip 🔥 Penny is case-sensitive. Remember to be consistent with your tags as you won't be able to edit their spelling or upper/lower casing after inputting them into Penny OR you can delete the single tag and start over again.
